Jerry plays a lot of video games, and one of his absolute favorites was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. This was a first-person shooter type of war game that ended up being the bestselling title of all time for the genre. I didn’t play it myself, but I guess everyone loved it for its details and realism, as well as for the online gaming capabilities.
Anyway, aficionados of the game have had November 10 marked on their calendar for ages now because that’s the release date for the highly anticipated sequel, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This new title has been hyped for a long time, and from previews that Jerry has seen, he thinks it’s going to be well worth the wait, so obviously he wants to buy it.
I’m thinking of placing a pre-order for him today. I know the game comes out tomorrow, but he doesn’t have to have it in his hands at the stroke of midnight. It would just be far easier and much more convenient to order the game online and have it delivered to us. Buy.com is taking pre-orders until Modern Warfare 2 officially goes on sale, so I could easily get it from there. I better consult with Jerry first though, otherwise we might end up with two copies of the game!
