For the second time in three weeks, the Bears looked simply awful coming out of the gate. The Arizona Cardinals scored on all 5 of their first-half possessions and went into halftime with a 31-7 lead. The defense couldn’t stop ANYTHING. Momentum shifted a bit in the second half, with the Bears pulling to within 34-21 with about 7 minutes left to play, but then a Jay Cutler interception cost the team big (thanks for cutting that route off, Bennett), and ended all hopes of a comeback. The Bears lost 41-21.
Fire Lovie Smith. That’s all I have to say. This was almost an exact repeat of the Cincinnati game, where the opposing QB and WR just play pitch and catch all the way down the field for a TD. Lovie is calling the defense, and it’s obviously not working. They’re getting embarrassed whenever they don’t play someone named Detroit or Cleveland. This coaching staff needs to go.
