What a tough year for Plax! After being fined countless times and suspended once by the New York Giants for violating various team rules, the wide receiver has now reportedly been shot in a Manhattan nightclub. Preliminary reports indicate that Burress shot himself, though no further details are available at this time.
Burress had already been ruled out for this Sunday’s game against the Redskins, but still… something like this is just stupid. If these early reports are true and he really did shoot himself, then he’s a friggin’ moron. Even if someone in his crew did it, he’s still an idiot for hanging around people who have to carry guns to feel safe.

So apparently, the latest get-rich-quick tech schemes involve creating iPhone apps that can then be sold in the app store to anyone with an iPhone and some cash to spend. One of the top Yahoo! stories this morning was about a banker named Steve Demeter who developed an iPhone game called Trism in his free time. He then put the app up for sale at $4.99 per download — and has made somewhere in the neighborhood of $250,000 for it.
