I went to the mall last night and saw that they’re already putting up the seasonal Halloween store over in the corner by Hallmark. I can’t believe that the summer has flown by and people are thinking about Halloween already! I mean, we’re just barely past the middle of August, school has just started (or is about to start), the baseball season is still going strong, and NFL teams are still in training camp, so for me it seems early to be thinking about Halloween.
The store wasn’t actually open yet, but most of the displays were up, so I could see what kinds of products were available. As usual, there was an abundance of superhero costumes, scary costumes, and sexy costumes, with a few political masks (Obama and McCain) thrown in for good measure.
We’re not usually big on Halloween, but now that my son is getting older, I’m sure we’ll be putting more thought (and money) into costumes and decorations from here on out.
