I was looking through some gossip rags at the grocery store today, and started wondering what it would be like to be a paparazzo. I mean, these photogs are everywhere, trailing celebrities around the entire globe. Whether they follow “Brangelina” to France or Colin Farrell on vacation to one of his St. Martin villa rentals, they never fail to get the enticing shots.
But it sort of makes me wonder what kind of expenses these paparazzi run up while they’re on the job. Do they actually travel to follow the big stars, or do they stay local? Are the guys currently snapping photos of the Pitt-Jolie clan in the French Riviera the same ones that hound the superstar couple in the French Quarter?
I’ve heard that getting the right celebrity pictures can net a photog thousands of dollars, so there’s definitely money in the game. But at the same time, that’s nowhere near enough to be able to follow a power couple halfway around the globe!
