Jerry’s company awards performance bonuses twice a year. He just received his at the end of June, and it was a bit bigger than expected, so we’re both currently shopping around for special treats for ourselves. I have my heart set on a Kindle ebook reader, while Jerry is thinking much bigger. He actually wants to buy a street bike to go along with his MX bikes.

I don’t really want him to get a crotch rocket, so I hope he looks at something like used Harleys instead. I think a chromed-out Sportster would be sweet, and with gas prices the way they are, a motorcycle would actually be a good investment at this point.

It would really stretch our budget to buy something like this, but I think we can swing it — especially if we could get some good financing.

Anyway, I’ll post again to let you know how this venture turns out!

Here we are a week into July already and I still haven’t posted about my PayPal dividend yet. I’m just so far behind with everything because of work that I feel like I’m never going to get caught up!

Anyway, my dividend for the month of June from the PP Money Market Fund came to $12.16. I wasn’t really expecting more than that because to tell the truth, there hasn’t been a whole lot of activity in my PP account recently. I’m not seeing much in the way of freelance writing action, so there weren’t very many deposits in June. Plus, I had to withdraw money to pay for my second quarter estimated taxes and my credit card bill.

I haven’t had time to do more research about joining a mutual fund, so that’s why my money is still in PayPal. I’m going to be extremely busy for the rest of July, but hopefully things at my consulting job will slow down in August (like they’re supposed to) so I can attend to other matters.
