I had to pick a few things up from Jewel this afternoon because we had absolutely nothing in the house for dinner. On my way back to the car, I noticed something silver just behind one of my rear tires.
I thought it was a quarter, but when I got closer, I realized it was one of those medical id tags that people wear to alert emergency personnel of existing medical conditions. What I had was just the medallion part, so it obviously must have broken off from a necklace or bracelet.
There was a name and some allergies engraved on the back, but no phone number. I didn’t want to walk off with it, so I gave it to one of the workers collecting carts in the parking lot. He said he would put it with the other Lost & Found items.
It was weird to actually find something for a change since I’m usually the one losing stuff!
No surprise here: New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was selected by AP sportswriters as the NFL’s MVP. Brady led the Pats to the first 16-0 regular season in NFL history, and set many records along the way, including 50 touchdown passes — 23 of them to WR Randy Moss, helping him set a single-season record as well.
