With the Bears not playing until tomorrow night, I had a chance to watch some other teams battle it out this afternoon. I started watching the Pats-Jets game to see how bad New England would run up the score, but the weather made that a boring game, so I switched over to watch the Miami Dolphins, who are on the other end of the football spectrum. They came into today’s game against the Ravens with a season record of 0-13, and were desperately trying to avoid going winless for the season.
It was easy to see why they haven’t won all year. The team just makes so many mistakes that they almost look like a college squad. But they were actually able to hang with the Ravens today, first forcing overtime and then winning on a 64-yard TD pass from Cleo Lemon to Greg Camarillo. The crowd went crazy, the team went crazy… it was like they won the Super Bowl or something. Wow.
Now let’s see if they Dolphins can parlay their success this week into a good game against the Pats next week. Highly doubtful though….
