Even though we have a two-car garage, my husband and I have both been parking our cars out in the driveway for years. We actually use our garage space for storage, and as a place where my husband can wrench on his motocross bikes. So basically, our garage is a chaotic mess, with oil stains, tools, and other junk all over the floor. As things stand now, we can barely walk through it, so I’d like to start cleaning it up and organizing it into a decent workshop.
In addition to toolboxes and other storage bins, I think it would be smart for us to buy garage flooring so we don’t damage the concrete any more than it already is. I was looking at some diamond tiling at CarGuyGarage.com, and was surprised by how affordable it is. I think it would be cool to get a silver and black pattern going on, so I’ll have to ask my husband for his opinion later on.
Anyway, it’ll be nice to spruce the garage up and make it a place that we’re proud of. As things stand now, we’re too embarrassed of the mess to open the door when neighbors are likely to drive by… obviously that’s got to change!
