Eastern Illinois University isn’t too far from where I live, so I often read about Panthers sports in the local papers. As a result, current Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was on my radar long before he took over the starting job from Drew Bledsoe last year. Needless to say, it’s been fun seeing an undrafted Division I-AA player out there tearing up the NFL!
Anyway, I’d love to catch a Cowboys game in person some time. I missed my chance when the ‘boys came to Soldier Field last month, so maybe I’ll try to see them in Big D in the near future. I’ve heard that it’s pretty tough to get Dallas Cowboys tickets now that they’re winning again, which means I’ll probably end up using a reputable ticket broker like Premium Seats USA. I know these guys offer great seats to all the hottest sporting events, concerts, and shows, so they’d be a safe bet.
In the meantime, I’ll keep watching Romo highlights on SportsCenter and reminisce about his days as #17 on the EIU Panthers!
I read earlier today that actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested for trespassing at a Walgreens store. There weren’t many details released with the story, but it seems like he was hanging around at 2:30 a.m. when a security guard asked him to leave because he was acting drunk. LaBeouf refused, at which point the rent-a-cop called the real cops. He was brought in, booked, and then released after he posted bail. Now, LaBeouf is scheduled to appear in court again on Nov. 28.
