Specialized Skin Care

As I get older, I’m becoming increasingly concerned about following a good skin care regimen. This is not something I’ve done in the past because I’ve never found products that work well for my skin type. You see, I have combination skin that leaves me prone to breakouts, flaking, and dryness. That means if I choose to treat the oiliness and acne, I usually end up exacerbating the flaking and dryness, leaving me with red, irritated skin. If I go the other way and use products for dry skin, I end up with more blemishes. This is a very frustrating situation, to say the least!

Well, I’ve been reading up on skin care and I just learned that AMO skin types (Asian, Mediterranean, olive) require special treatment because they are actually more delicate than fair skin types. I fit the AMO profile, but I’ve never taken pigmentation into account when selecting skin care products.

However, that’s all going to change now that I know better. I read that it’s very important for people with AMO skin to select products formulated with the right hypoallergenic ingredients in order to avoid adverse side effects. ORIKI Cosmeceuticals is one skin care line that understands and addresses the special needs of AMO skin, so I’m really interested in their products.

I spent some time browsing through the different product offerings on the ORIKI homepage and would love to try the Whitening Lotion for AMO skin. This Whitening Lotion reduces the appearance of dark spots by inhibiting pigmentation, protects against further sun damage, and also clarifies skin tone for a more beautiful complexion. I could definitely benefit from all of these positive effects, so I just might be making a purchase soon!
