I haven’t really been able to find any info about what’s happening with the PayPal MoneyMarket Fund these days, so I’d figure I’d write up a post and see if anyone else has a clue.
I was checking my balance the other day because I received a couple of payments and I noticed that the interest rate for the MoneyMarket fund was listed at 5.23%. That’s a huge increase over the 5.04% it was at just a few days ago when I posted about receiving my August dividend! I mean, that was such a big jump that I actually assumed it was a misprint or mistake. But I checked back today and the interest rate is still listed at 5.23%.
So yeah, I wonder what happened to make the fund go up like that? Do any of you know? It’s cool that I’ll be earning such a nice return for doing nothing… I just wish I hadn’t had to make a $1200 withdrawal to pay off my credit card bills and taxes!!!
(Oh, and did you see the new PayPal homepage? Pretty cool!)
Red Sox management must be giddy with the success pitcher Clay Buchholz has enjoyed thus far in his young major league career. Buchholz was drafted by the Sox in 2005 with a pick that they received in compensation for sending Pedro Martinez to the Mets. After the draft, Buchholz spent time with the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston’s AA affiliate) and the Pawtucket Red Sox (AAA) before being called up to the show in mid-August.
