So have you been seeing promos for all the new shows coming up this fall? Which ones are you most interested in watching?
Personally, I’m kind of tired of investing my time in a new series only to have it fail and get canceled before the season is even over. For example, last year I started watching Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Justice, but both were miserable failures in the ratings department. Studio 60 was horrid all the way around, so I actually stopped watching it before it was canceled. But I liked Justice and didn’t think it was that bad. I was very disappointed when it was canceled (without notice, of course) and didn’t watch anything else in its place after that.
So now I just wait until the end of the season to see which shows stick around. Then I pick up the DVDs or watch whatever my friends have recorded.
This year I’ll be keeping an eye on Private Practice, the new Grey’s Anatomy spinoff starring Kate Walsh, as well as Big Shots with Dylan McDermott. I think Gossip Girl looks somewhat interesting, but do I really need to get hooked on another Josh Schwartz teen drama? I’m not even done with The O.C. yet!
