I forgot to write a post about my latest PayPal dividend from the Money Market Fund. It was paid on June 30, which actually made for two dividend payments in the same month. As predicted, the amount was lower than what I had been seeing because I had to withdraw most of my balance in order to pay some substantial bills that were due. Still, I received $16.17, which is not too bad. This amount should go up next month, provided I don’t encounter any financial emergencies (knock on wood).
Good news about the paypal payment. I didn’t know you could get dividends? How do I go about looking into this?
You have to join the money market fund. Go to paypal, click the Help tab on the upper right (you don’t even have to log in), scroll down to the list of topics, and then click on Money Market under Financial Products.
I think you have to fax your SS card in order to be verified/confirmed.
But the MMF is great! Once you’re in, you don’t have to do anything special. You can still use the money in your account as usual and never have to fill out paperwork to buy/sell shares in the fund.
