I’ve only been to New Jersey once in my life: about 15 years ago, my then-boyfriend and I drove all the way out to the East Coast to spend a couple weeks with a mutual friend in Boston. On the way there, we stopped in Atlantic City for a 3 a.m. blackjack session, lost most of our money, and had to call my parents to FedEx a check.
That same friend of mine is getting married later this summer in Jersey City, so I’m thinking about making a return trip to the Garden State. It’s going to be very difficult to fit this wedding into our travel schedule, but I’ve known the groom since 7th grade and owe it to him to try my best.
Towards that end, I’ve been checking out Jersey City accommodations for the weekend of the wedding. I’ve also used this handy Jersey City trip planner to help me choose a preliminary itinerary.
I won’t know until after June if I’ll be able to make it to the wedding or not, which doesn’t give me much time to finalize things. At least I’ll have a general idea of where I can stay and what I can do while I’m in town, so hopefully all I’ll have to do is buy my tickets (and a wedding gift, of course!).
