Business Phone Systems

One of the challenges that small businesses constantly face is being able to operate with the speed and efficiency of larger organizations — but with a much tighter budget. Most of the time, this boils down to a matter of equipment, and that’s where Xpander Communications can help.

Xpander specializes in providing affordable small business phone systems that can help companies just like yours take advantage of the latest technologies, such as VoIP. A new phone system from Xpander will simultaneously help you increase employee productivity while reducing costs. This will obviously have a positive impact on your bottom line, and that’s what every business owner is looking for.

Postie Food Carnival Visits Completed

It took me a while, but I finally finished visiting all the blogs that were included in Monday’s Postie Food Carnival. I left comments when I could, but didn’t go so far as to register for any sites in order to do so.

I thought all the posts were great and I’m looking forward to the next issue (which will be on April 16, I believe). I hope there will be another fun theme to write about!

Keith Richards — Did he or didn’t he?

By now you’ve no doubt read the latest news story concerning Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards. He supposedly told a British newspaper that he mixed some of his father’s ashes with coke and snorted the lot.

Now, he’s saying that he was just joking when he made that comment to the reporter.

So which version do you believe?

I’ve seen this guy on TV interviews in the past, and he always looks like he’s on something. I wouldn’t put this stunt past him…

P.S. Have you seen the photos accompanying the news articles? Keith Richards looks rough. I guess four decades of heavy drug use will do that to you.

Easter Flowers

I won’t be able to have Easter dinner with my family this year since I’m currently halfway around the world, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be thinking of them. Along with a phone call, I’m going to send flowers that my mom can use as a centerpiece. Hopefully that will let everyone know that I’m there in spirit, wishing that I could partake of the delicious food and great conversation that are the hallmarks of our family dinners.

I’ve got a sticky note sitting right here in front of me as a reminder that I have to pick out a nice floral arrangement by tomorrow at the latest. All I have to do is go to a site like DotFlowers, find what I want, place my order, and rest assured knowing that the delivery will be on time. Nothing to it!

NFL Mock Drafts

Calvin Johnson Wide Receiver Georgia Tech It’s April, which means that the annual NFL draft is just around the corner. This year’s draft will be held on April 28 and 29 in New York, and since we’re quickly approaching those days, everyone is scrambling to update their mock drafts with each tidbit of news that comes from the various NFL clubs. The Texans signed Matt Schaub? Ok, well they won’t be picking a QB in the draft then. What’s their second most important need? And so on.

Who are the current hot prospects? The top of the list hasn’t changed dramatically. These are mostly the same names that I’ve been seeing since December/January when all the Bowl games ended.

  1. Calvin Johnson, WR Georgia Tech
  2. Joe Thomas, OT Wisconsin
  3. JaMarcus Russell, QB LSU
  4. Adrian Peterson, RB Oklahoma
  5. Brady Quinn, QB Notre Dame
  6. LaRon Landry, S LSU
  7. Gaines Adams, DE Clemson
  8. Levi Brown, OT Penn State
  9. Amobi Okoye, DT Louisville
  10. Leon Hall, CB Michigan

Whole New Look!

So I obviously went and found a new theme for this site. It’s called “RockinBlue” and pretty much has the features that I want. I’m not overly crazy about it but I do like all the space that the three-column layout offers me. It’s like moving into a bigger apartment or something!

Anyway, it’s going to take me a couple of days to get the sidebars looking the way I want them, so please bear with me while I arrange (and re-arrange) things.

Any Miami Heat fans out there?

Late last night I was talking to one of my friends about the Chicago Bulls and how it was practically impossible to get tickets to their games throughout the 1990’s. Well, I mean it was impossible to pay face value for the tickets — of course you could spend $100+ for nosebleed seats.

But in recent years, the franchise’s decline has made tickets more available to fans. So what I was wondering is: does this happen even in cities where there’s no “dynasty”? For example, how hard is it to get Miami Heat tickets these days? Miami won the championship last year, so I’d assume it’s pretty difficult. How about Pistons tickets? They won in ‘03-’04. Is it any easier to get into the Palace now?

Whatever the price, I bet there’s not a decade-long waiting list for season tickets like in football!
