I just got back from St. Louis a little while ago and am happy to report that the ticket situation worked out just fine. We had our replacement tickets waiting for us at the Edward Jones Dome box office and were able to get into the St. Louis Supercross without any problems.
Our seats were actually pretty good. We were right in front of a triple, as well as a whoops section that led into something that the announcers were calling a “low triple.” The riders in the Lites class were having all kinds of trouble carrying enough speed through the whoops to make it over the triple, so we saw plenty of crashes in that corner. Ryan Dungey and Darcy Lange both threw it away right in front of us, and I’m surprised that there weren’t any serious injuries on the night.
I was happy to be able to see one of Ricky Carmichael’s final races. I think he’s doing one more after this (Orlando), and then he’s calling it quits for good. I probably saw his very last win, which is cool when you think about it!
Anyway, after not having attended a SX in a few years, it was nice to see the show again.
