Osaka Castle

I’ve spent the better part of the evening organizing my computer files. I keep so much junk stored on here that I don’t even remember what half the stuff is. I also took the opportunity to upload all the pictures from my digital camera. The 1GB memory card was nearly full because I hadn’t cleaned it up in so long.

Anyway, I came across these photos of Osaka Castle and thought they would be interesting to share. I know a lot of Shogun fans, so I figured they might like to see the location where many crucial scenes from the novel took place.

Of course this castle was rebuilt after the war, but it’s still a cool place to visit!

Dreaming of Egypt

Egypt has long been on my list of “Places to Visit Before I Die”. I have always wanted to see the pyramids, of course, but there are other attractions in that country as well. For example, Ismailia Egypt is a beautiful city located right on the Suez Canal and seems like fantastic place for a relaxing vacation. In addition, I think no trip to Egypt would be complete without a stop in Alexandria to soak up all the history in that world-famous locale.

Take a look at this photo of Ismailia and tell me you wouldn’t love to visit!! (And check this page for more photos)

Super Bowl Commercials

I was at a Super Bowl party with a bunch of other Bears fans yesterday, so I didn’t really get to pay much attention to the commercials. That’s because we spent those intervals complaining about everything that was going wrong with Chicago’s game plan and what changes we thought the coaches should make.

But of course the commercials are now on the Internet, so I can view them at my leisure. Check them out at iFilm.com if you want!

Buy Low, Sell High

There are a lot of business-related clichés out there, but “buy low, sell high” has to be one of the most basic concepts around. This is how you make a profit in any industry, so obviously the phrase is applicable to anyone looking to succeed.

I know a lot of people who are interested in selling products online but just don’t know where to start. What should they sell? The choices are endless. Where should they sell? Again, between their own websites, auction sites, and other people’s websites, there are a good number of options here. And finally, where can they purchase their products from? Assuming they’re not making their own wares, they’ll have to find a good wholesaler to work with.

Recently, I’ve been hearing a lot about how easy it is to move wholesale replica sunglasses. Designer sunglasses can cost several hundred dollars a pair, while nearly identical replicas (minus the logos) usually cost less than $10 a pair. It’s easy to see which price would be attractive to consumers, so if you hooked up with a wholesaler — like CTS — that sells replica sunglasses for less than $1.50 per pair, you could turn an excellent profit.

You can purchase as few as one dozen sunglasses at a time from CTS, so you won’t have to carry huge inventories to get started. If this sounds like something you’re interested in, feel free to check the CTS Wholesale Sunglasses website for more information.

Super Bowl XLI Aftermath

I couldn’t bring myself to blog about the Super Bowl last night because I was pretty bummed that the Bears lost. It was a very frustrating game to watch because even though the offense didn’t do much all night, the defense kept the team in the game. The Bears still had a chance to win in the 4th Quarter — until Rex Grossman threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown.

I’ve been reading and listening to Chicago fan reaction this morning and almost everyone is blaming Ron Turner, the offensive coordinator, for this loss. They’re saying that he was too conservative early on (when the Bears pretty much just ran the ball), which didn’t allow Grossman to get into a rhythm.

But there’s not much you can do if you’re QB can’t execute. With the way Grossman was playing, Turner was in a no-win situation. If he had called more pass plays in the early going, people would have been complaining that he put too much of a burden on Grossman’s shoulders and should have tried to establish the run instead.

Even though I’m very disappointed with the loss, it’s hard to begrudge Tony Dungy’s team the championship. Dungy has to be one of the most deserving coaches in the NFL, and I’m very happy that his team finally won the Super Bowl. He’s a class act all the way.
