Cell Phone Plans

When you think of your cell phone, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Do you congratulate yourself on having the trendiest phone out there, or are you more satisfied with having a calling plan that consistently saves you money month after month? I belong to the latter group of people and definitely think that’s a better situation for the long run.

Ever since Christmas, when, it seems, nearly everyone I know got a new cell phone, I’ve been a little bummed that my phone is so old and non-descript. It’s one that only gets noticed by people who are interested in knowing how long I’ve had it. The answer is, more than two years — an eternity when it comes to gadgets. But one of the main reasons that I’ve had the phone so long is that I’ve got a fabulous family plan right now and am afraid of losing our great calling rates.

As it turns out, it’s easier to find and compare cell phone plans than I thought, especially if I take advantage of the fantastic wireless wizard tool over at Wirefly.com. Wirefly has data about both individual and family plans from all the top carriers, including Cingular, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Nextel, Amp’d Mobile, Alltel, and more.

To view the current offerings from these carriers in my area, all I have to do is enter my zip code, and the wireless wizard does the rest. Once all the plans for a particular carrier come up, I can check off the ones I’m most interested in, then run a side-by-side comparison so I can see exactly what the differences are and select the plan that best suits my needs. This wizard is very handy and will definitely make anyone’s search for the best cell phone plans go a lot more smoothly.

One thing I’ve discovered today is that it’s possible for me to enjoy the best of both worlds when it comes to cell phones: a great plan and a cool phone, thanks to Wirefly!

Haven’t left yet….

Despite my best efforts to get everythng done well before noon today, some things came up at the last minute and I had to stick around to finish up. I haven’t left for my Super Bowl party yet, but I should be able to head out in about an hour — which still gives me some time to settle in before the game.

I’ve had the TV on a little bit here and I guess it looks like it could rain in Miami before all is said and done. I hate how some analysts are saying that works to Chicago’s favor: as though the only way the Bears could win is if the weather turns bad. I better not hear that excuse if the game turns out the way I want it to!

SI Swimsuit Issue

I’ve been a Sports Illustrated subscriber for many years now because that publication has some of the best sportswriters in the business. Even though I’m an avid reader and fan, the only time my husband (who’s an extreme sports fan and doesn’t care for so-called “stick and ball sports”) ever picks up the magazine is when the swimsuit issue arrives. That’s understandable, especially when you consider how beautiful the swimsuit models are.

I just heard that the next swimsuit issue, which is set to be released on February 14, will be the 43rd one. Can you believe that it’s been so long? Over the years, many memorable models have graced the pages of the world-famous swimsuit issue, including Elle Macpherson, Kathy Ireland, Maria Sharapova, Heidi Klum, and Molly Sims. Those are some huge names in the modeling world!

If you’ve missed any of those issues, don’t worry: right now, you can download cell phone wallpapers of your favorite swimsuit models from SI Mobile. Each image comes from SI photo shoots and are just $1.99 each. You can also download video clips, video ringers, animated screensavers, and other goodies, so be sure to check out SI Mobile soon.

By the way, SI doesn’t share personal information about its customers with any third parties, so rest assured that your details are safe if you do decide to purchase some wallpapers.

Are you betting on the big game?

So how many of you have money riding on Super Bowl XLI today? I’m talking about bets with bookies, bets with your friends, or office pools. I usually bet on the Super Bowl, but couldn’t bring myself to do it this year. There’s no way I could make a logical, informed decision with the Bears involved, so I decided it would be smarter to hold onto my money.

P.S. What’s the over/under that most of my posts today will be about the game :).

Tools For Your Online Store

If you’re thinking about starting up an eCommerce site, then you’ve probably taken a look at a few of the shopping cart software programs that are currently available. There are plenty out there, and they’re all different in terms of functionality, features, ease of use, and price.

If you know exactly what you want out of your shopping cart program, then selecting a product to use is relatively straightforward. However, if you’re new to the eCommerce scene, then your task is a bit more difficult. In the latter case, it would be helpful for you to find forums and websites that are geared towards online entrepreneurs like yourself prior to making a purchase. That way, you can get advice from people who have been in the game a lot longer and can hopefully avoid making some basic mistakes.

13 Hours to Kickoff!

I went to bed late last night and woke up early this morning to make sure that I get all of my work done so I can go and enjoy my Super Bowl party in peace. We’re now just 13 hours away from kickoff and I’m getting very excited! Of course I want the Bears to win, but if they have to lose, I swear I’ll just be happy if it’s a close game. In other words, I don’t want them to get blown out by Manning and Co. on the biggest stage in the NFL.

GO BEARS!!!!!
