My husband and I are going to China at the end of February, but we haven’t finalized all the details of our trip yet. I’m still looking for a good rate on hotels, so I spent an hour or so online this afternoon trying to find something in Shanghai and Beijing. Instead of going to all the different travel sites out there, I went to http://www.hotelscombined.com. Hotelscombined.com has a free tool that allows users to get combined search results from numerous travel websites, resulting in a more detailed, comprehensive listing.
For example, I searched for Shanghai hotels on hotelscombined.com, and came up with 348 results. On http://www.expedia.com.au, I got only 17 results, while tripadvisor.com inexplicably tells me “the specified location is too large to check all the hotels.” Huh?
Obviously, http://www.hotelscombined.com is much easier to use for finding and comparing hotel rates for destinations around the world. This is a site that I’m sure I’ll use over and over again!
