I once attended a 6-week long TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) training course in Madison, WI. This type of course is for people who want to travel overseas to teach English in a foreign country. I needed the course because I was about to purchase a home in Japan and wanted to be able to find a job in that country. There were lots of other attendees, and they were planning on teaching in far-flung destinations such as Mongolia, Czech Republic, Indonesia, China, and Bulgaria.
I occsaionally get newsletter updates from my school, and a recent one had a profile of a young graduate who ended up in Bulgaria. She’s been there for almost two years now, and absolutely loves the country. In fact, she is thinking about staying there for the long haul.
I wonder if she’s thought about buying a house over there yet? Maybe I should forward her this site I found that contains listings of Sofia property for sale. I know from personal experience that living in a foreign country becomes much easier if you have a place you can truly call your own, so I bet my classmate would enjoy browsing through the BulgarianDreams.com site!
