One of my New Year’s resolutions for 2007 is to give more money to charities that I believe in. I tend to favor children’s causes and women’s causes over most everything else, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is high up on my list of organizations to give to.
St. Jude is located in Memphis and is committed to treating children with “cancer and other catastrophic diseases.” The thing I like best about St. Jude is that they accept patients regardless of their ability to pay. That is a noble practice, and makes me feel good about my donations.
If you’re interested in donating to St. Jude, you can do so online through their site. Take a look!

St. Jude was my “first charity” when I spearheaded their local fundraising efforts for my school throughout Junior High and into High School. No sick child should have to go without medical care. St. Jude assures that those with the deadliest illnesses do not.

I’m a big fan of St. Jude’s! We were always exposed to their fundraising efforts in elementary school, and it’s stuck with me ever since.

A local homeschool teen boy is fighting cancer there right now. I don’t know what his family would do without this very worthy cause helping him.

Visiting via the carnvial. St. Jude’s is amazing! I’ve been to one of their facilities and the work they do with kids and families is inspiring.

This is a place we all hope we will never visit. Yet, it is a place we are all glad is there. I hope they will be able to keep this hospital going forever.
