I know we just got done with Christmas and New Year’s, so we could probably all use a breather from holidays for awhile. But if you really want to get ahead of the game, you could start looking for your Valentine cards right now. There’s a site called Jokeroo.com that offers a bunch of FREE Valentine’s Day e-cards for you to choose from. There’s a good mix of funny cards as well as more traditional, sentimental cards so I’m sure you’ll be able to find something that you like. Check it out!
Well, that didn’t last very long! I told myself to step away from blogging for the weekend in order to recharge my batteries. While I did reasonably well on the whole (I logged far less Internet time this weekend than I have in the past couple of years), I’m already back at it.
Even so, I do feel better about things now. I was able to finish transferring posts from two of my blogspot blogs over to their brand new homes on their own domains. That took forever, since I’m using the new version of Blogger and couldn’t figure out how to automatically transfer posts to Wordpress, so I had to do everything manually. So. Boring.
Also, I was able to organize my computer files and get everything set up for 2007 so I’ll be able to keep precise track of my online writing assignments and payments received.
Anyway, things should be a lot more even-keeled for me now — always a good thing!
Ok, we’re really getting down to the nitty-gritty here! PayPerPost released yet another puzzle piece created from a digital camera picture that Veronique took while in Europe. Almost all of the pieces are floating around the blogsphere now, and you can find them by searching for the term “HP camera” on Google Blog Search or on Technorati. If you find all the pieces, reassemble them, and then submit the completed puzzle first, then you’ll win the $1,000 grand prize.
Personally, I’m not doing to well with this particular puzzle. I’ve got a lot of the pieces, but there are still a couple that are eluding me. Hopefully I’ll be able to find those later tonight so I can be ready when the big $1,000 opp comes up. Wish me luck!!
Here it is: HP puzzle piece #14 from the PayPerPost scavenger hunt.

OMG, this is very sad news. I am a huge college football fan and I have followed the USC Trojans for awhile now. I just read that placekicker Mario Danelo was found dead at the bottom of a 120-foot cliff yesterday afternoon.
The police haven’t made any statements as to what happened, but one article quoted someone as saying that there’s a good possibility that Danelo simply fell. I haven’t heard anyone speculate about foul play or anything like that. Also, no one’s quite sure (or at least they’re not telling the press) what Danelo was doing out there alone.
This is a real tragedy, and my heart goes out to Danelo’s family and friends.
