HP Puzzle Piece!

I decided to go check the PayPerPost opps list before heading to bed, and I’m glad I did! I just found another piece to the HP scavenger hunt featuring Veronique’s collage from her recent jaunt to Europe. I guess she took a bunch of pictures with the new HP camera that Ted gave her. Anyway, this piece is #35 (which is weird since the contest info said there were 30 pieces) so take a look and save it to your computer right now. Remember that the first person to collect all the pieces of this puzzle, reassemble them to form a complete picture, and submit the opp before everyone else will win $1,000!

This post is sponsored by HP, so do please thank them in return by visiting their digital photo printing page!

Notre Dame Loses Again

Man, what a bummer of a way to end the season. Notre Dame’s Bowl Game futility continues as they suffered a 41-14 defeat in the Sugar Bowl at the hands of the LSU Tigers. I watched the first half and then just couldn’t take it anymore. I was a big fan of this current crop of players led by Brady Quinn (just 149 yards and 2 TDs), Jeff Samardzija, and Tommy Zbikowski, and I just didn’t want to see them finish their college careers like that.

Oh, well. It’s on to the NFL and million dollar contracts next, so I doubt those guys are moping around too much!

Tools for Investing in Stock Options

Everyone knows that in order to build your wealth, you have to continually make smart investments. You won’t get rich from the small interest payments that your savings account is currently earning, so it’s time to be proactive about your financial future.

Stock options are a popular investment vehicle for those who are serious about making money. However, options trading can be confusing if you don’t have any experience with such things. So before making your investments, I suggest you gather as much information about the subject as possible. One way to do so is by reading this stock options newsletter produced by PowerOptions. This newsletter gives subscribers all the data they need to help them reach their investment goals through stock options.

HP Puzzle Grid

For those of you participating in the HP Scavenger Hunt over at PayPerPost, here’s a link to a very handy grid that you can use in order to assemble your pieces seamlessly. The grid was developed by Owen, who runs the Ugh’s!! Greymatter Honeypot site. Owen is one of the nicest posties I’ve “met” through the forums and is always willing to lend a hand, especially when it comes to these puzzles. So go to Owen’s site, grab the grid, and start searching for pieces. As of now, I think 11 have been released.

Have fun and good luck winning the $1,000 grand prize!!

Biblical Prophecies and the Rapture

I attended a Catholic college and have taken a couple of theology and Bible study courses over the years. One topic that I’ve always been particularly interested in is Biblical prophecies. In fact, I used to have many discussions about this very subject with an old school friend who is now a Catholic priest.

Today I learned about a site called Rapture Christ - Endtime Bible Prophecy. This site lists several Biblical prophecies and discusses ways in which these prophecies either have come to pass or will do so in the near future. The culminating event, of course, will be the Rapture.

I read through a few of the prophecies listed on the site along with some of the explanations. I’m not sure that I agree with every single thing the author said, but the information was indeed interesting and at least gives me food for thought!

Where to rent audiobooks?

I’m not much of a music fan, but I love being able to listen to books on my iPod while I’m cooking, cleaning, working out, or driving. The only thing I don’t like about audiobooks is the relatively high cost, which is why I try to get as many as I can from Librivox.org. They offer free audio recordings of books that are in the public domain (i.e. the copyright has expired).

Unfortunately, the Librivox catalog is rather limited, so I’m looking to expand my horizons in this area. I’ve tried Audible in the past, but would like something a bit cheaper. Do you have any suggestions/recommendations? If so, let’s hear them!

PBR Finals in Vegas

My family has been looking for an excuse to go to Vegas for a long time now, and I think we might have just found one: the Professional Bull Riders World Finals. I’ve never seen one of these events live, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about them. PBR rodeos are supposed to be a fantastic way for the entire family to enjoy an entertaining and exciting evening out together, and I can’t think of a better way to become acquainted with the sport than by attending the World Finals in Las Vegas! Then of course once the Finals are over, we’ll be able to take in the sights and sounds of the city that never sleeps. Sounds like that would be a vacation to remember!

I’m sure an event like that sells out quickly, so even though we’ve got until October, we better start thinking about buying our PBR tickets pretty soon.

Another option might be for us to go to the Houston Rodeo in March because we might be visiting a friend of mine at that time. Then we could take in a smaller-scale event than the World Finals and see if we like the action before committing to a trip to Vegas. I’m sure that won’t be a problem though, as I’m confident that my family will like the rodeo. After all, it’ll be something new, and we’re always up for that!
