Well, that was fast…. The AP is reporting that Saddam Hussein was hanged today, just 5 days after the Iraqi equiavalent of the Supreme Court upheld his conviction and ordered him executed within 30 days.

They don’t mess around over there, do they? That’s certainly different from the way things work here at home, where convicted killers can languish on death row for a decade or more before their sentence is carried out.
